When you see a photograph... you see the world through someone elses eyes.

At times those eyes are blind, at other times they are in syncronization with the pulse of the viewer.
The viewer has a reason to look and to become aware of their surroundings.

I hope that you are aware of your surroundings and your well being.
This specific section of my homepage is a work in progress.
It is part of an educational program that I attended in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Florida,

I hope that you see the world for what it is... a journey.

Life is a place of wonder, excitement and at times a place of confusion.

Take a deep breath and take control. We live is a time where life has become confusing,
we (as people) have allowed our lives to be dehumanized.

I hope that you enjoy this photographic voyage, it is not just a destination
but a connection that is being made.

Perhaps one of the most interesting people that I met is Henry Rollins. His charismatic presence and diction have taken him from being the lead singer of Black Flag to a spoken-word artist to finally the lead singer of Rollins Band. Henry is one of those people who makes his presence known. He is the author of several books and many audio recordings. I had the opportunity to photograph "Hank" on his visit to the University of Florida. He performed for two-and-a-half hours (solo), in his famous spoken-word style.

Jean-Bertrand Aristide is the former president of Haiti, he speaks seven languages and has tried to restore democracy to his homeland. He is a pleasant man who is humble and enjoys speaking to all people. Aristide also came to UF, I was given permission to photograph a man who many people only see on TV. It was a pleasure to be able to take a private photograph of a former president.

James Carville is a Democrat who worked with President Bill Clinton. Mary Matalin is a Republican who worked on Bob Dole's political campaign. Carville and Matalin may agree or disagree on many things but they are married. Because of the limited amount of time, they were only able to have their pictures taken during their presentation.

Carlos Fuentes is the Mexican embassador to the United States. He is an accomplished poet and novelist. He came to UF to speak to the both the Hispanic and American students. Some people say that he has a striking resemblance to Sean Connery.

Ted Kennedy Jr. is an amputee and the son of senator Ted Kennedy. Like many of the Kennedy family, he is working to help others, mainly those with afflictions and disabilities. He is a very down to earth person who tries to avoid the spotlight and several of the negative Kennedy woes. I was fortunate enough to have been on the guest list for a private dinner.

Michael Moore is an independent film maker, his claim to fame is his documentary "Roger and Me"and the television show TV Nation. Moore is an activist for union workers in the United States. He likes to include satire and irony in his books and shows.

Sean Sasser is HIV positive, he is an AIDS educator and was the partner of Pedro Zamora on MTV's Real World. Sean feels that it is important that he uses his position as a person to educate others about HIV and AIDS. He is a man of tremendous courage and is dedicated to helping others that are living with HIV or AIDS.

John Lombardi is the former president of the University of Florida, I had five minutes to take his photograph for Orange and Blue Magazine. He is a very busy man but took the time to help many students.
The photograph of the little boy with the fire is a "Photo-illustration" I had to shoot an illustration abour the dangers of children with matches. The opportunity called for real fire. I took the photograph at sunset, the childs father (a firefighter) was there to control the flames.

One morning while on the way to class I saw a man looking down a "man hole," as I walked up to him this man the man in the photograph was coming out of the "man hole." It was interesting. The next photograph of the spider is part of a project that I did for my Fine Art photography class. It is called "Sins and a Spider." Yes. the spider is real, her name is Alice Cooper. If you don't like spiders don't go to this page.

In addition to Fine Arts I also like nature, these photographs were taken in Estes Park in Colorado last winter. It is breathtaking and well worth seeing.

Throughout my travels as a photographer, I enjoy nature and the elements of nature. Some of my photos show just the way that it is. Pure and simple, these photographs are of locals in Florida including St Augustine and Key Biscayne.
