Research Abstract:

Hypothesis:

Hypothesis #1: The annual State of the Union message delivered by the President of the United States will accurately report on the social conditions of the country at that time.

Hypothesis #2: The annual State of the Union message delivered by the President of the United States will accurately report on the economic conditions of the country at that time.

Hypothesis #3: All claims based on statistical analysis made during State of the Union addresses can be verified by data contained within public documents.

Hypothesis #4: All historical references made will be accurate.

Hypothesis #5: The validity of claims made during State of the Union addresses will not vary from president to president

Hypothesis #6: The validity of claims made during State of the Union addresses will not vary during election years.

Hypothesis #7: The media will examine the validity of every State of the Union message regardless of the president who delivers it.
