Milky boba tea

This is your basic boba tea recipe, using only tea and tapioca pearls. Many people like to enjoy this with green tea or a black tea variety, but feel free to experiment according to your own tastes.



3/4 cup tea


1/4 cup milk

sugar syrup

2 Tbsp.
sugar syrup


1 cup ice

cooked tapioca pearls

1/3 cup tapioca

Makes 1 serving.


  1. Add your tea, milk (or non-dairy creamer) and sugar syrup together in a blender or cocktail shaker. Mix well.

  2. Add ice to the above ingredients. Shake the ingredients together to create bubbles at the surface.

  3. Put the tapioca pearls in a tall glass.

  4. Pour your blended ingredients over the pearls, add a wide straw and enjoy!
