The UF Surf Club

The UF Surf Club

If you live for the cool rush of water beneath your board or the spray that goes flying when you hit the lip of a wave, then you'll fit right in at the UF Surf Club.

This club is a community for all of UF's ocean-obsessed students, and it's the perfect crowd for anyone who loves road trips to the beach, action packed surf contests and partying it up poolside.

But don't forget that this easy-going group can also turn up the intensity and shred past their opponents when it's competition time. The University of Florida has some talented team riders, and the UF Surf Team is always on the scene at National Scholastic Surfing Association and Collegiate Surfing Association contests.

But there's also plenty of room for beginners. The club is open to surfers of all levels. Basically, if you love the beach, you're in, so head out to a Surf Club event and make yourself at home.

To get involved, join the club's facebook group, visit the team Web site or check out the club listing at UF Recreational Sports.
