Drawing I: Meets Mondays, 9am - 11am
Course:Students will learn about the basic elements of drawing such as line, perspective, value, form and composition. Students will work on still life composition, portraits and landscape. Drawing materials and techniques will be introduced.
Drawing II: This is a continuation of Drawing I, which allows the student to further improve their composition and drawing skills. Additionally, students willl be introduced to using color in their drawings.

Watercolor & Acrylic Painting

Watercolor I: Meets Mondays, 12pm - 2pm
Course: Students will learn the basics of watercolor painting; paper selection, paint selection and brush selection. Students will explore color theory, color mixing and the transparent nature of watercolor. Students wil learn about paper preparation and preliminary drawing. They will also learn brush movement and techniques. Students will learn glazing techniques (wet on dry) and wash techniques( wet on wet). They will learn about layering, masking and texture.
Acrylic Painting: Meets Wednesdays, 12pm - 2pm
Course: Students will learn the basics of acrylic painting; canvas selection and preparation, paint and brush selection, color theory and mixing, composition, preliminary drawing, brush movement and technique. Students will complete several paintings in this course.
