Taylor Mann is a 21-year-old student at the University of Florida.
She has been a dancer since she was a little girl, and she started taking yoga classes to help
with her flexibility when she was in high school.
She said that in addition to yoga helping her
maintain her flexibility, it has also helped keep her anxiety at bay.
“My favorite thing about yoga is that it calms me down,” Mann said. “I’m always on the go,
and it really helps me focus on slowing down and remaining calm.”
Mann said that because
dancing competitively can be grueling on the body, it is really important for her to stretch out her
muscles and joints. Upward Dog is her favorite yoga pose.
