Multimedia Properties

The College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida is one of more than 80 radio and TV programs accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications. The college maintains a national standard in the education of electronic mass media.

The college houses the Division of Multimedia Properties, which features seven TV stations along with radio stations. The facility gives telecommunications, journalism, public relations, advertising and all students in the college the opportunity to have hands-on experience within their major.

The Division of Multimedia Properties also houses the Integrated News Facility (INF), which unites all the news production of the University of Florida's public radio and television stations. The TV, sports, radio and online programs are all integrated to work together to create content for their individual programs.

The programs provide news, weather, sports, music and entertainment for North Central Florida. The radio and TV stations are used to create content and to train the college of journalism and communications students.

To get involved with the college, students are advised to meet with Renee Gork, the Student Experiences Coordinator.

"The ability to generate content across various platforms is essential to go out and find jobs."
