Materials and tools

There is a variety of things needed to prepare fossils. From airscribes and stereo microscopes, to dental picks and tooth brushes.

Paleontologists use different tools depending on the type of fossil and in what stage of the preparation process they are.

Materials include adhesives and consolidants. Some fossils work well with regular glue, while other need more specialized products.
