AllStar Cheer Season
This is a video of the minis team ages 4 through 8 I coached from 2010-2011.
The cheer season never ends for AllStar cheerleaders. These teams do not have any outside focuses other than preparing for competition. During the summer these teams practice tumbling. The goal is to move each team up a level according to the cheerleading rules. In May the teams learn their competition routines from their coaches and recieve theri music. From May to December they practice their routine, tumble, and stunting skills.
AllStar cheerleaders are treated fairly the same no matter what the age may be. These teams practice 2 to 3 times a week for 3 hours per day. The 4-year-olds are to work just as hard as the 10-year-olds. Each team has set practice times and they are all required to excute a 2 minute and 30 second routine. There is no wasted time in AllStar cheerleading. These teams work hard to perfect their stunts, tumbling and dancing to make the 5 month cheer season worthwhile.
