Naked Apple Pie

Pies with heavy crusts weigh down desserts and sometimes mask the taste of the filling. This dessert is just as sweet and satisfying, if more, than the traditional take on it. Perfect for a snack while doing homework, watching movies or entertaining health conscious friends.

Naked Apple Pie

Prep: 10 minutes Cook time: 50 minutes

Makes about 6-8 servings

6 large apples (any kind you like or have on hand)

1 lemon

1/4 cup white sugar

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground cloves

1 teaspoon ground ginger

1 1/2 tablespoons corn starch (optional)

Naked Apple Pie

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray two pie plates with non-stick spray.

2. Core, peel and slice apples into 1/2 inch slices.

3. Place apple slices in bowl and juice lemon over apples. Mix in the rest of the ingredients

4. Put apple mixture into two pie plates and bake for 40 minutes. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 more minutes.
