After you have figured out how much dairy you can handle, the next step to a comfortable life involves knowing what foods contain or don't contain lactose. Fortunately, many foods do not contain lactose. It is easy to work around intolerance by avoiding foods with lactose or by finding alternatives such as lactose-free milks and cheeses.
