Chocolate Cake Pops

Supplies & Ingredients:

  • Chocolate cake mix
  • 1 tub of frosting (any flavor)
  • 12 ounces of candy coating
  • About 3 dozen lollipop sticks
  • 13 x 9 inch pan
  • Skewer
  • Styrofoam block


  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to the directions on the box.
  2. Crumble the cake until it's fine like dirt.
  3. Mix in frosting with a spoon or your hands.
  4. Roll the mixture into balls.
  5. Freeze the balls for about an hour.
  6. Melt the coating candy.
  7. Poke a hole into each cake ball with the skewer.
  8. Dip one end of the lollipop sticks into the melted coating.
  9. Insert lollipop sticks (the side with the melted coating) into cake balls.
  10. Dip the cake balls into the candy coating.
  11. Tap off any excess candy coating.
  12. Place cake pops in the Styrofoam block to dry.
  13. Decorate cake pops, if you want.
  14. Enjoy!
