Greek Community


Interfraternity Council, IFC

The Interfraternity Council consists of more than 2,300 members. There are 26 chapters and UF boasts the 4th largest in the country. IFC brides itself on academics and involvement on campus.

Panhellenic Council

Sixteen chapters are included in the Panhellenic Council with a combination of more than 2,500 women. The Panhellenic council is based on four motives: scholarship, leadership, community and service.

National Pan-Hellenic Council

This Pan-Hellenic Council's purpose is to serve the Black community. Its objectives are to promote high academic standards and leadership development among its fraternity and sororities. There are 4 sororities and 5 fraternities and are referred to as "The Divine Nine."

Multicultural Greek Council

There are a mixture of 12 different sorority and fraternities in this diverse organization. There are a variety of Latin and Asian multicultural organizations. The Multicultural Greek Council members, like the other greek organizations, are leaders in student government. Many brothers and sisters go onto become directors and chairman of organizations.
