Tack and Jibe

Daniel Levy, now a graduate of the University of Florida, was a member of the sailing team for four years and even served as race captain, where he scheduled and organized all of the team's travels, and as vice president, where he assisted the president and ran the team's cabinet.

In this video, Daniel shows you where the UF team sails and some techniques of tacking and jibing, two skills integral to the art of sailing, and especially integral when it comes to fleet racing.

Now Daniel serves as the resident videographer at UF's Recsports Department, but occasionally he visits Lake Wauburg to take out a 420 and practice his skills.
