Cookies are fortunately simple to make and transport to many events and are also easy to package. Unfortunately, I am not a cookie person. I like them, but I am a little neurotic about baking- I open the oven every few minutes because I don't want to overbake them. Also, so much of the batter ends up being eaten before being placed on the baking tray that the number of cookies is severely diminished. I have trouble explaining bringing a half batch of cookies to a party with 10+ people.

Chocolate in cookies are good (chocolate cookies are acceptable too), and any cookie that has chocolate and can be dipped in peanut butter is best! Lately, though, due to the fall season, I've been enjoying things with pumpkin flavors. I found these three-ingredient Cake Mix Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies on Megan's blog, Confessions of a Bake-aholic. I may have underbaked them, but it wasn't a problem because there were no eggs in the batter! The cookies were thick and moist. Actually, really similar texture to the way I like my brownies!

Fall is associated with pumpkin flavors, and in my house, Christmas time also reintroduces a seasonal recipe: snickerdoodles. These cinnamon sugar cookies are some of my dad's favorites. The dough must be chilled before baking, so be sure to start these with ample time for chilling and baking.
