Buttermilk Pancakes



2 cups buttermilk

1 egg, beaten

1 tablespoon vegetable oil



2 cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon sugar



Heat griddle/skillet over medium heat.  When water sizzles on the pan, itŐs ready.


Beat together wet ingredients.  Stir dry ingredients.


Mix the two together, being very careful not to overmix. This will result in tasteless, runny pancakes.  Stir until mostly moistened throughout. 


Scoop by ¼ cup onto heated griddle surface.  Allow to cook until bubbles form on top, also putting any wanted toppings in at this time.  When bubbles form, flip pancake over and allow to cook until done.
