Fettuccine Alfredo - This is one of my favorite American-Italian dishes of all time. Italians aren't big on using cream in sauces because it's unhealthy. Thank goodness us Americans don't care, because it is delicious!

Baked Ziti - This is a family favorite! It's a fabulous comfort food, and it's super easy to make.

Chicken Parmesan - This dish is such a classic that most Americans are shocked when they can't find it on menus in Italy. This is a basic recipe my father taught me, and it's just as good as any chicken parmesan you will get at a restaurant.

Garlic Bread - When it comes to flavoring their bread, Italians keep things simple. They typically dip it in straight olive oil and they don't use garlic or put seasonings in the oil like Italian restaurants in America do. But garlic bread is a great side dish to pretty much any meal, and it's a cinch to make.

Tiramisu - Ok, so this dish isn't Italian-American. But it is just so darn good, I had to include it.
