Recipes for Delicious Treats

Steps to making Chocolate Chip Cookies:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.
  3. Now in a seperate bowl mix the brown sugar, sugar, vanilla and butter until creamy. If you don't have an electric hand mixer or a kitchenaid, I suggest using a metal spoon and some elbow grease. The butter isn't completly melted, so it'll take a while until this looks creamy. When it does get to that point, add one egg at a time, making your batter even creamier.
  4. Once both eggs and batter are looking almost complete, slowly add the dry ingredients a little at a time. You don't want flour splashing your face, and you'll be able to get better control of the mixing anyways.
  5. After that is complete, go ahead and mix in the chocolate chips ("There can never be enough chocolate chips," says my mother the 'chocohalic.')into the batter and mix. You want an even mixture so that when you set them on your baking sheet, there's a good amount of chips in it.
  6. Place your scoops of dough onto your nonstick baking sheet, and put it into the oven. I recommend setting a timer or your mental clock, or your cellphone's alarm for 10 minutes. At exactly 10 minutes make sure you take your cookies out of the oven and serve.
