Chewy Brownies

Homemade brownies are definitely worth the effort. People seem to forget how easy they are to make when there are so many brownie mixes at the store. The ingredients required to make brownies are found in most pantries. If you don't bake often, you might be missing flour or cocoa powder, but after you begin making tasty confections at home, you will soon realize how much money you can save making your own tasty treats.

Vanilla Extract: If you don't have vanilla extract, you could leave it out entirely. It's possible to use the imitation stuff, if you don't mind something made from wood.

There's not much you can really leave out or change since you are baking, except for some organic, raw, or vegan ingredients.
