Presentation with advice from Kirsten Laufer

Senior study abroad adviser at the University of Florida

Laufer studied abroad in London as a student. She says that the U.K. may seem similar to the U.S., but, with its unique government and health care system, itis actually quite different from America. Another difference lies in our use of the English language. Although Brits and Americans may both speak English, we each have phrases we can call our own. The Britishisms presentation highlights a few of these language differences. Megan Tillo Foxcroft, my aunt who lives in England, helped me to think of these quirky British phrases that you won't hear in the U.S.
