How to Build a Badminton Court in your Backyard

The three-step plan to building a badminton court.

  1. Making the Poles
  2. Making the Boundaries
  3. Stringing on the Net

Yard Considerations

The boundaries for a regulation-size badminton court is 44 feet by 20 feet. Make sure you have enough space in your yard to accommodate these measurements.

It is important to try to find a place in your yard that is as flat and level as possible, that way both sides of the court are even. It can be difficult to find a perfectly level playing spot, so if there are some inconsistencies that is ok because people typically change sides for every game.
