Pumpkin Pie Ingredients

Filling Ingredients

  • 1 package of softened cream cheese (8-ounces)
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin, mashed
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg plus 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (1/2 stick)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Whipped cream (optional for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your standard oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and mashed pumpkin until the two combine.
  3. Add the sugar and salt.
  4. Slightly beat the eggs separately and then combine into the large mixing bowl.
  5. Add the half-and-half and melted butter.
  6. Stir in vanilla, cinnamon and ginger until the entire mixture is combined and
    beaten.
  7. Pour into prepared crust and bake for approximately 50 minutes.
  8. Note: Allow pie to cool before slicing.
    Tip: Whip cream may be added on top of cooled pie slices!
