Brewing iced green tea

A cold cup of tea

If you’re looking for an alternative to hot green tea on a warm day then a glass of iced green tea is for you.

Here are some simple steps to prepare iced green tea:

1. Heat water to about 180 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. Measure out double the amount of tea leafs used for hot tea. That means two teaspoons per cup, and for light or voluminous teas use four teaspoons per cup.

3. Place the tea leafs in an infuser and add the hot water.

4. Let the tea steep for 2-3 minutes. Tea is usually ready when the tea leafs have uncurled.

5. When the tea is ready dilute with equal parts cold water or ice.

6. Can you garnish your iced tea with lemon or mint and enjoy.
