Young Boy Rowing

Crew, or rowing, is both an intensely competitive sport and a recreational activity. Participants row in boats made for one, two, four or eight rowers on rivers, lakes and sometimes in the ocean. Rowers use either one oar (called sweep-style rowing) or two oars (called sculling) to propel their boat through the water.

This Web site will teach you about varied aspects of rowing, including rowing as a sport, multimedia vignettes of competitive rowers, a training plan for competition, and the basics of the rowing stroke.
