I've never knit before. How do I start?
I saw a checkerboard scarf on campus/at the mall/around town today that I absolutely loved. How can I make it at home?

All you need to start are some needles, a ball of yarn and this Web site! If you are looking to knit a quick project, pick up some large needles and extra-thick yarn at your local craft store (I like Michaels.) If you want to spend more time creating a more fine-knit project, use smaller needles and thinner yarn.
