Kutya

The most important dish, kutya is a porridge made up of wheat berries or other grains, honey and poppy seeds. The grains symbolize hope and immortality, while the honey and poppy seeds stand for happiness, success, and untroubled rest.

Pagach

A large, round loaf of Lenten bread used to symbolize Christ as the Bread of Life.
