Advertising

In this century advertising has become a sophisticated business.

Consumers and organizations have come to expect a level of truth in advertising.

Federal regulation of advertising evolved easily over the years, but recently First Amendment considerations are seeping into the mix.

The First Amendment now protects commercial speech, but not to the extent that it protects political expression.

The Federal Trade Commission (FCC) is the primary overseer of truth in advertising.
