It is imperative as an advertiser to know who your audience is and where you can find them. The sites that your potential clients visit may say a lot about them, their spending habits, and their interests. Using statistics on the web enables companies to track their clients by installing small files known as cookies into the users' computers. While this practice is still dancing on the gray line and flirting with violations of individuals' privacy, it is a highly successful and useful tactic. Computers and the Internet have enabled many companies to collect an overload of data. Sometimes too much data can be confusing and misleading. However, some data has proven to be extremely valuable.
