The Keys is a set of islands found off the southern tip of Florida. These islands stretch approximately 128 miles. The Keys are a chain of coral and limestone islands. The Keys are famous for its beaches, laid back culture and for salvaging treasure from wrecked Spanish fleets. The Keys are also known for being the summer homes of Hemmingway and Jimmy Buffet. The John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, near Key Largo, was the first undersea park in the continental U.S. At the park, visitors can scuba dive, snorkel, ride in glass-bottom boats, and even stay in an underwater hotel room.
