The Everglades is a region at the southernmost tip of Florida, which is known for its variety of plant and animal wildlife. The Everglades was first dedicated in 1947, and the park celebrated its 50th Anniversary last year. It is one of the nation's largest parks, measuring in at about 2,000 square miles. The park is the largest subtropical wilderness in the United States. The park also has three reservations that house Seminole Indians.
