Jack Karlis is a Graduate student at the University of Florida. He is currently through with the first year of his degree, with a thesis and a concentration in new media to follow in the 2000-2001 school year. This project was part of class with Dave Carlson's Electronic Publishing course.

Jack graduated in May 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from SUNY College at Buffalo. He has worked for The Buffalo News, Niagara Gazette, Gainesville Sun, Palm Beach Post and The Bakersfield Californian. He will be traveling this September to Sydney, Australia to work as media in the Florida Pavilion.

Jack was born and raised in Buffalo, N.Y. He grew up playing hockey and other sports in his youth. He discovered the Internet as recently as 1995 and has even talked his father into taking the online plunge!
