A few simple safety tips that I have learned through experience
- Always stretch before lifting.
- Never... EVER swing the bar. When you swing the bar you are compromising your technique and will end up hurting yourself.
- You should not begin the lift with a bend in your elbow. When you accelerate with the weight, it puts strain on the joint which will lead to problems sooner than later.
- When attempting the jerk, be aware of your surroundings. If you lose control of the weight, make sure to direct the wieght away from yourself.
