The Florida Scholastic Press Association is an organization dedicated to promoting scholastic journalism in Florida. Having existed for over 60 years, FSPA serves not only as a support organization for high school student journalists and their advisers but also provides opportunities for student journalists to be exposed to the work of others from around the state. Each year a State Convention is held to give students this networking and learning opportunity, and this year the convention was hosted from April 12-14 at the Hyatt Regency in Tampa. The theme, "Reality Round-up," emphasized the need for journalists to help bring the world into perspective for their audiences.
