Brie Wrapped in a Blanket

What you will need to buy

  • Pillsbury crescent roll canister
  • Small wheel of Brie cheese
  • Jar of Apricot preserves (you will need about two tablespoons)
  • There's nothing that impresses a woman more than a man who knows how to cook. I have put together a few recipes that will blow her away and won't take too much of your time. The key principle that you want to remember is to think simple. You don't need to have a gourmet meal to make her mouth water.

This Appetizer should take no less then 15 minutes in total.

First you want to unwrap the Brie from its package and yes its suppose to look like that! Brie is one of my favorite cheeses to work with because it goes with everything. Once, you take it out of the package your going to cut the Brie down the middle so that both halves are circles and you can place them on top of each other like a sandwich.

Next, your going to open up your jar of Apricot preserves and spread some of the preserves (about two tablespoons) around both halves of the Brie. After you spread the preserves your going to place each Brie half on top of one another like a sandwich.

Take your dough out of the Pillsbury can and spread it out like if you were creating a small pizza. Once you've spread out the dough, place the Brie sandwich on top of it and cover the Brie with the edges of the dough. Do not leave any empty spaces around the Brie because the apricot preserves will spread everywhere in the oven. Place the Brie covered in dough on top of a greased piece of foil and place foil in the oven.

Finally, stick the pan in the oven and leave the Brie in for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
