This Web page is for those interested in the field of Public Relations and specially for those interested on learning about Minority PR.
If you are one of those, and even if you are not, I hope you had enjoyed the ride.
My name is Claudia Ramirez. I am a Public Relations undergraduate student at the University of Florida. I am also Hispanic, but not from a first or second generation of Hispanic-Americans. I was born and raised in Cuba, and came to America at the age of 19.
I decided to put this Web site together, out of curiosity on the topic. I was interested to know how much influence the Hispanic community has in the United States. I learned valuable information in the process, and my goal is to pass it along to those who are coming next. As one of my professors at UF advices me, "My job is not to know stuff, but to let others know..."
If after so much reading about public relations and the new minority it now serves, you still feel like learning more about Hispanics and their traditions, refer to the bibliography section where I collected the name of a series of publications and webpages that may interest you.
If you would like to know about a specific Hispanic community, the Cubans, you may visit my personal website at http://iml.jou.ufl.edu/carlson/mmc5015/Homepages/S2004/Ramirez/index.html
