Animals were brought to Las Vegas to attract families. Although Las Vegas is still not seen as a family destination, more families have visited the city since its shift to accommodate those under the age of 21. Here are the animal exhibits that you can visit on The Strip.
Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden
This exhibit costs $12 to view both the Dolphin Habitat and the Secret Garden. The Secret Garden closes at 3 p.m., so the price is lowered to $6 to visit just the Dolphin Habitat, which stays open until 5 p.m..
Guests enter through the Dolphin Habitat which consists of 3 different pools and about five different dolphins. Here is a clip of the dolphin show.
The Secret Garden is filled with habitats containing Siberian Tigers, White Bengal Tigers, Leopards, White Lions and an African Elephant. Visitors are given an electronic device that gives a guided tour of the habitat.
There is only one elephant in the habitat, but he keeps himself busy. During my visit there, he had a friend turkey. I'm not sure if the turkey was invited, but the elephant did not seem to mind. Here is a video of the elephant playing with his toys.
