The
songs of emperian Austria were composed by the Strauss family. As such
the waltzes of Strauss Jr. all have a grace about unique to the classical
music family. Most of them are readily known, such as the Blue Danube
and the Tales From the Vienna Woods. All of the waltzes have a basic structure:
an introduction and then five different sections that Strauss Jr. made
textually complex. Then they finish with a coda, or a reintroduction of
the main waltz theme. But they are not meant to be just listened to, so
to enjoy them the most a dance is in order!
