In addition to peer-to-peer file sharing programs, such as Napster, Morpheus and SongSpy, these bootlegged demos can be found on Web sites. One site has an entire album, assembled from bootlegs, demos from the previously mentioned box set and tracks released on other Beach Boys’ albums to create one interpretation of what Smile would have been. With a click of a mouse, the user can download MP3s of the mixed tracks.

Many other sites such as it exist on the Web, and now the album can be found with enough scouring. The album that was once forgotten by the artist, later available through extensive searches and expense, is now available to anyone with an Internet connection.
