The
issue of unethical behavior on the part of public relations practitioners
continues to be a concern for the industry. Efforts that give public
relations a better reputation are hampered by the unethical actions
of a few people. If public relations hopes to gain professional status
in the eyes of others, it must first educate and emphasize ethics
education to inspire practitioners to higher standards.
