Inverted pyramid

One way to make your Web page particularly interesting and useful is to use the inverted pyramid, a writing style commonly used by journalists.

How it works
Following this style, a reporter briefly states the main points of the article in the first paragraph. Information is ordered from most important to least important. Readers have a basic understanding of the story after reading the first paragraph, then they choose to continue or not, based on their interest level. At any point, readers may stop reading but will still have a basic understanding of the story.

This style can be applied to Web writing by giving the main points of each section/paragraph at the beginning.
