How college papers reacted

According to David Horowitz's Web site, as of April 2001, David Horowitz has sent his ad arguing against "slavery reparations" to 73 college campuses across America. More than half of those schools rejected the ad, including Harvard, Columbia, Notre Dame, American University, and others. More...

Meanwhile, more than a dozen have schools have run the ad, resulting in violent protests on a few of the campuses. More on Wisconsin... More on Brown...

Of those schools who chose to run the ad, three ended up apologizing to their respective student bodies for doing so: the University of California-Berkeley, UC-Davis and Arizona State University.
