9 New York Mets   314.91% 10
10 Regis Philbin   248.83% 8

The first thing that jumps out at me is the overall difference in percent change between the two weeks. The number 10 search on September 20, Regis Philbin, would have been number 6 if it had occurred during the earlier list's compilation.

The most important change perhaps is the change in overall tone of the terms. Seven out of the top 10 searches after September 11 are related in some way to the attacks, and two other searches deal with electronic security.

Sex still sells, even after September 11, as shown by the number two showing by Lynn Thomas. Without the bully pulpit of George Bush telling the public to go to the disaster relief website, it is likely that would have been the number one search.
