The internet has become a tool that has redefined and continues to redefine our concept of communication and how we interact as a society. Without a doubt, it represents a paradigmic shift in media and communication as we know it. So revolutionary is it that it has created a wealth of new legal issues that, by the nature of the medium, extend beyond any juridictional or geographical boundries. Global computer-based communications cut across territorial borders and thus underminine the feasibility and legitimacy of applying laws based on geographic boundaries.
