All three companies are based in Japan. Although all three have subsidiaries in the United States, the main branches of the companies are in Japan. Stock is traded in the Japanese Stock Market not in the US market. According to the Nintendo Annual Report for the fiscal year past, sales in North America continued to show growth. The economic status in Europe is starting to show the beginning signs of slowdown. This would most definitely be a problem for entertainment companies. Japanese sales continue to suffer with growing unemployment and reduced personal spending. Incidentally, the yen has appreciated over the past year so an exchange loss needs to be accounted for. All three companies will suffer from these economic issues.
