Non-profit organizations in the U.S. have taken to cyberspace like a fish to water. This sector has become a leader in envisioning the benefits to a society of interactive media and has put it to practical use.

This doesn't mean that each of the more than one million non-profits is online. But it does mean that every segment is represented.

It makes sense because a primary purpose of non-profits is to generate information about their diverse areas of interest. Non-profits are resources on just about any subject you can imagine, and anyone who goes online is the beneficiary of this information.
