Safety

Probably the most important thing to consider before you play Ultimate Frisbee is safety.

Although it's a non-contact sport, occasionally things get heated on the playing field, sometimes resulting in collisions between players, or between player and ground.

While it's fun to be aggressive, make sure to avoid contact with other players as much as possible. Remember: it's the disc you're after, not the other team.

Make sure to stretch before and after playing, and drink plenty of water to avoid dehydration.

Before the game starts, search the playing field for any rocks, holes or branches. Note where any trees or bushes are. Check the weather forecast for any bad weather.

Also, make certain to have a cell phone nearby in case of an emergency.
