Location types

Where to play Ultimate Frisbee is definitely something to consider.

While any open, grassy area can work for a casual game between friends, competitive fields of play are expected to meet specific standards.

A few people toss around the disc in a non-standard field.

Regulation fields are 40 yards in width and 70 yards in length, with end zones that are 25 yards in length. The endzones are marked off with brightly-colored cones.

Generally, it's best to find a flat area that is free from obstructions, such as trees, rocks, exposed roots, or sink holes.

Athletic fields and public parks make good locations for a game; parking lots and other paved areas do not. A large, spacey back yard could be a good location for a smaller game.
