What is Ultimate Frisbee?

Ultimate Frisbee, or "Ultimate," is sport in which teams work together to move a disc down a field into an "end zone" to score points, like football.

Players from San Diego University play Ultimate.

The team moves the disc by passing it from player to player. Players must stop running when they catch the disc, and they're not allowed to move until they pass the disc to someone else. Each player has 10 seconds to pass the disc before an automatic turnover to the other team.

Meanwhile, the opposing team attempts to stop the completion of passes by blocking, intercepting the disc, or knocking it down. Once that happens, the disc is turned over.

The gameplay is non-stop and self-officiated, governed by "the Spirit of the Game."
