Parking and Riding

Along the Metrorail line, several stations offer both surface and garage parking.

  • Palmetto

    Garage Parking is available at

  • Dr.Martin Luther King Jr.
  • Earlington Heights
  • Okeechobee
  • In addition, if you wish to utilize the South Dade Busway, Park and Rides are avaialble at 5 separate locations. Those loactions are at US-1 and:

    SW 152 St.

    SW 168 St.

    SW 200 St.

    SW 244 St.

    SW 296 St.

    The County is currently also planning for a lot at SW 344 St. in Homestead.

    Parking costs $4 per day, or you may buy a monthly pass for $10



    The Metromover is an elevated electric bus system that snakes through downtown, bringing workers from Metrorail stations to smaller Metromover stations closer to their offices. It is completely automated and the buses move throughout the city without the aid of a driver.

    It's ok. Most Miamians ask this question too. The Miami Metrorail is a 27.4 mile commuter transit train that begins at Dadeland South station in Kendall, near Dadeland mall, and continues north through Coral Gables, Downtown, and on to the Palmetto Expressway.
