Black Bean Nachos

A great alternative to regular nachos (which are loaded with fat), these nachos are high in protein and super easy. You can make them using just a microwave.


  • One can Goya black beans
  • Tortilla chips
  • Slices of American cheese
  • Salsa
  • Microwave-safe bowl
  • Microwave-safe plate

Prep time: 5 min. Serves 3.

  1. Open can of black beans and dump into bowl.
  2. Sprinkle with pepper, stir, then cover partially.
  3. Microwave for thirty seconds. Stir, then microwave for twenty more seconds.
  4. Spread tortilla chips on plate. Add the black beans.
  5. Tear slice cheese into small pieces. Place on top of beans.
  6. Microwave for 20 seconds, or until cheese is melted.
  7. Serve with salsa.
  8. Eat.
